For the colder months
Raclette is coming to The Shore
Melted until golden and bubbling, then scraped straight onto your plate.
Gather around
A little extra warmth
As the evenings get colder, we’re bringing a little extra warmth to the table at Chez Bernard.
Gather around for raclette, melted until golden and bubbling, then scraped straight onto your plate. Served with French and Italian charcuterie, potatoes, marinated salad and bread, it’s something to share, settle into and take your time over.
Step into the experience
Forty seconds at the table: the gathering, the melt and the scrape.
Valais, the Swiss Alps
Did you know?
Raclette has its roots in Valais, in the Swiss Alps, where cheese was traditionally warmed by the fire and scraped onto the plate. Its name comes from the French word racler, meaning ‘to scrape’.
And that’s part of the pleasure: watching the cheese turn golden and bubbling, ready to be scraped over warm potatoes.
We’re bringing that tradition to The Shore with French raclette, best enjoyed with everyone gathered around the table.
